Phenomen called "Lõkits" in Muhu island.
#1
For decades there has been a mysterious burning sphere that appears near the Rässa village in Muhu island during the first weeks of August. The locals have become used to the sphere and have named it "Lõkits". Paranormal investigator Igor Volke even compares the small Rässa village to the Bermuda triangle. The sphere, that is big and looks like the full Moon, sometimes rolls on stone fences and hovers over the sea and some fishermen have even tried to chase it with their boats.

The sphere only shows itself usually during August but sometimes later in the autumn. A local woman Helga Kuigi says that the sphere's speed depends on the speed of the wind and it shines lights towards land. It is also noted that after the Lõkits appears the weather will clear.

The locals are convinced that the "Lõkits" is a real phenomena because too many people have seen it for it to be just another made up story. Lõkits is even considered a local star - many people have come to witness it and some scientists among them, not to mention paranormal activity investigators and enthusiasts.

Igor Volke thinks that the Lõkits is a some kind of micro poltergeist because it's common for those to appear as glowing orbs. That the village of Rässa is a unusual place, is supported by the fact that native Estonians considered it a holy place and they used to make sacrifices there and some of those places can even be seen nowadays. Volke also notes that people have seen apparitions there:"Some have seen old warriors rise from the sea. This village reveals virtual information"
