Julm on seejuures see, et loodus sallib sellisei mutatsioone. Looduses on olemas palju erinevaid viise muutmaks geneetiline materjal veakindlaks. Võtame kasvõi näiteks tuumareaktoritest avastatud bakterid. Nende genoom oskab ennast ise parandada. Neil on seda vaja, et püsida elus oma elukeskkonnas.
Kui elukeskkond pole nii keeruline, siis sellised veaparandus mehhanismid annavad järgi. Miks? Selleks, et looduslikul valikul oleks materjali, millega tötada. Liigid arenevad vaid mutatsioonide selekteerimise kaudu. Pole mutatsioone - pole arengut. Meie genoom on seega põhjusega haavatav.
See põhjus tundub aga meile inimestena küüniline. Eriti, kui kellegiga juhtub midagi sellist, mida PiziIngliito kirjeldas. Sellel on konkreetne põhjus, ja seda saaks vältida pm. See on meie taak, me oleme osa Lodusest siin planeedil.
